Guy Fawkes Night is celebrated every year in the UK on November 5th. You can watch the wonderful fireworks for free over the Norwich skyline on and around that date.
The celebration which involves fireworks and a figure made of straw (like a scarecrow) being placed on a bonfire to commemorate the Gunpowder Plot.
Guy Fawkes being arrested as part of the Gunpowder Plot to use explosives beneath the House of Lords in 1605. The plan was to blow up Westminster palace during the state opening of Parliament attended by James I - in protest about the oppression of Roman Catholics in England.
An Autumn Lights firework display will be held at the Showground at Costessey on November 12th from 4pm to 9pm at Dereham Road, New Costessey, Norwich, NR5 0TT
There will be on stage entertainment including DJs, a party band, glow drummers and a fire show. Tickets cost £17.50 plus booking fee (adults : £5, under 18s : £3, under 5s : free, and £20 for a full car).
